Cyril Joshua Barker serves as host and producer for the
New York Amsterdam News Podcast. He is a staff writer and web manager for the
AmNews and has been at the paper since 2007. Barker also serves as co-host/commentator for the weekly radio program “Express Yourself with Imhotep Gary Byrd” on 107.5 FM WBLS/1190 AM WLIB. Prior to coming to the
AmNews, Barker was in Montgomery, Ala. where he was a reporter for the
Montgomery Advertiser. He graduated from Alabama State University in 2006 earning a bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in sociology. Email:
